Enrollment Deadline for Foundation and Intermediate Courses – September 2024/January 2025 Exams New Examination Schedule Starting from May/June 2024, the Institute will conduct Intermediate and Foundation course exams three times a year: in May/June, September, and January. However, the CA Final exams will continue to be held twice a year, in May and November. Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for the Foundation and Intermediate exams, students must meet the following criteria: Foundation Course: Must be registered with the Board of Studies of the Institute for at least four months before the month of the exam. Must meet other eligibility conditions specified in Regulation 25F. Intermediate Course: Must be registered with the Board of Studies of the Institute. Must provide a certificate confirming completion of a study course for at least eight months before the month of the exam. Must meet other eligibility conditions specified in Regulation 28G. Important Dates Foundation Course: Last date to register for the September 2024 exam: 1st May 2024. Intermediate Course: Last date to register for the January 2025 exam: 1st May 2024. Students who registered for the Intermediate Course (either through the Foundation Route or Direct Entry Route) by 1st January 2024 are eligible to appear in the September 2024 Intermediate Examination. Important Announcement Chartered Accountants Examinations – September 2024 The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is pleased to announce the dates for the next Chartered Accountants Foundation and Intermediate Examinations. The exams will be held in September 2024 at various locations, provided there are enough candidates. Exam Schedule Foundation Course Examination Dates: 13th, 15th, 18th & 20th September 2024 Syllabus: As per Regulation 25F of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988 Intermediate Course Examination Group I: 12th, 14th & 17th September 2024 Group II: 19th, 21st & 23rd September 2024 Syllabus: As per Regulation 28F of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988 Note: There will be no exams on 16th September 2024 (Monday) due to Milad-un-Nabi, a compulsory Central Government holiday. Exam Timings and Duration Foundation Exam: Papers 1 & 2: 2 PM to 5 PM (3 hours) Papers 3 & 4: 2 PM to 4 PM (2 hours) Intermediate Exam: All Papers: 2 PM to 5 PM (3 hours) Additional Information: Papers 3 & 4 of the Foundation Exam do not have advance reading time. Other exams have a 15-minute advance reading time from 1:45 PM to 2 PM (IST). For composite papers with both MCQs and descriptive questions, the MCQs part will start at 2 PM (IST) without advance reading time. Key Points Exam dates remain unchanged even if declared a public holiday by the government. Ensure to check your specific exam location and timings.
